Consultation
We set up an appointment for me to see what's going on. Sometimes that problem area might bleed over into other areas, so I like to look at the situation as a whole. During this time I will ask lots of questions, take notes, snap pictures, and measure things. We will talk about a basic plan to take on your project, including a rough estimation of cost. I will also gladly answer any questions you have about my services. After our appointment I will email a plan and a cost estimate if requested. You are welcome to use this appointment as advice-seeking or in preparation of booking my services.
Planning and Shopping
Plans might consist of labeled drawings, proposed shopping lists, and an estimate of time needed to finish the job. I will ask for you to review these plans to make sure you are on board. If you are not, I will joyfully accept your feedback and adjust the plan something mutually agreeable. Once plans are approved, I shop online and in stores to gather the supplies.
Installation
This includes all onsite labor: sorting, purging, minor cleaning, installation of shelving or other units, and putting everything where it needs to go. Occasionally I may ask that you do some work in preparation such as purging, moving furniture, or sorting through personal items. We can also work side-by-side if you would like me to coach you through it. I work in four-hour increments up to eight hours a day. It is important to take mental breaks to ensure good decision making and avoid mental fatigue. The number of visits I make will depend on the scope of your situation.
Evaluation Period
Take some time to get to know your new space. Allow two to four weeks for the change to grow on you and your habits to adjust. If at the end of that period there is something you want to tweak, let's do it!
Fine-tuning
Polish it until it shines--do you need more labeling? Think your towels don't realistically work where they are? Let's monkey with it until it's just right. I want you to be perfectly happy and rejoicing in our new creation.
