Kate Fisher, CPO
As a kid, I was quite messy. My mother can attest to my creation of paths to get from A to B in my bedroom. I loved collecting trinkets and waiting until I had absolutely nothing to wear before doing laundry. Forgetful was my middle name. Lateness was my game. But I ADORED office supplies (still do) and color coding notebooks and carefully arranging my study materials.
Fast forward to college. Like any fully-self-aware high school graduate, I decided to major in Theatre Performance. I made enough of a splash to earn a BFA from the University of Florida--GO GATORS! Now I was a little more on time, could sword fight, and was one heck of a party planner.
Turns out, the party is truly what I was into! A few years later, I attended Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and earned my Diplome de Patisserie. For about a decade, the professional kitchen was my home. I cooked, I cleaned, I consulted, I taught, I gave my time to charity, and on and on. I'm sure you can imagine the discipline that was finally whipped into me. I am now on time, planned, relatively focused, and have a MASSIVE attention to detail.
Life gifted me with a fabulous husband and a spunky little daughter. These wonderful people also require lots of time. In this transitional period away from chefdom, I put in time as a closet designer for The Container Store. This is where I drank organizing Kool-aid. It was delicious.
I was hired to completely re-tool a giant catering commissary. It went from housing feathers alongside disposable shot glasses to having tried and true systems. This is when I knew I was onto something. I started my business in 2017 and have been overwhelmed by the connections made with my clients. It motivates me to see their lives change for the better. In 2021 I earned designation as a Certified Professional Organizer, logging thousands of client hours and passing an exam.
Through a series of quite a few jobs and relocations, I learned to whittle down what was important to me both in philosophy and possessions. I also learned to do this for others. It is my sincere hope that if your life feels like a mess, you'll allow me to help guide you to something better--something neat.
