i have adhd too!
For real. Not just like people using it as a way to say they are scatterbrained. I was diagnosed as an adult. Females are underdiagnosed for a variety of reasons. The signs had been there since I was a teenager, masked by being a high-achiever, a “busy bee,” head in the clouds, hyper-focused, talkative, mom guilt internalization, etc.
My diagnosis was life-changing. It helped me to see myself through a new lens—to look back and realize why life had been so hard. What a relief to understand myself…accept my brain as it is! To work with it, not against it.
I also cope with perfectionism, depression, and anxiety. It is important to me to be open about my own mental health, because maybe it helps you feel understood. I want you to see that no one is perfect, and that an organized lifestyle is possible if you have the right tools, create attainable goals, and put in the work. Compassion and patience are the hallmarks of my service.
